The AshBritt Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the AshBritt organization. The mission of the AshBritt Foundation is to support communities where we live and work. The AshBritt Foundation supports four primary areas: Disaster Impacted Communities, Vocational Schools & Technical Training, Youth Education, and Mental Health. The AshBritt Foundation aims to further serve communities long after the immediate recovery ends.
AshBritt team members may only temporarily live and work in disaster impacted regions, but we become members of the communities where we live and serve.
In October of 2018, Hurricane Michael ravaged the Florida Panhandle and destroyed more than physical buildings. Child abuse survivors at the Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy Center lost safe spaces to heal. From therapy sessions on downed tree trunks and in the parking lots of fast-food restaurants, the loss of homes, schools, friends, and “normal life” – abuse survivors and their therapists overcome obstacles to find joy, love and healing with the help of a fellow survivor, advocate, and Florida Senator who is determined to demonstrate that strength and resilience can be found even after the darkest of storms. This is their emotional Journey Home.
