Dow Knight is President of AshBritt, Inc. and a nationally respected leader in emergency management, disaster recovery, and large-scale debris operations. With more than 20 years of experience in the disaster response industry and three decades of logistics leadership, Dow plays a central role in guiding AshBritt’s strategy, operations, and federal contracting while ensuring the company delivers safe, efficient, and community-centered recovery solutions.

Over the course of his career, Dow has supported and overseen more than 200 disaster projects across the United States, including responses to Hurricanes Katrina, Sandy, Harvey, Irma, Michael, Ian, and Helene. Most notably, he served as AshBritt’s Senior Operations Manager for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Tropical Storm Helene Debris Task Force in North Carolina the largest project in the company’s history by contract value. He was also instrumental in securing four federal pre-positioned debris contracts totaling $1.75 billion, representing the largest combined federal debris management award ever granted to a single firm.

Dow’s leadership is defined by disciplined planning, strong partnerships with federal, state, and local agencies, and a deep commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. His experience in both maritime logistics and disaster response allows him to navigate complex supply chains and large-scale field operations with precision and accountability.

A retired U.S. Navy Captain (O-6), Dow served honorably for 30 years across multiple commands, including as Commanding Officer, and supported operations such as Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, Unified Response, and Enduring Freedom. He is a founding member of AshBritt’s Veteran Advisory Council, which advances veteran recruitment, career development, and leadership pathways within the company.

Dow is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York, where he later served as an instructor at the Global Maritime and Transportation School. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation and is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
